Please read this post to learn more about the Health Stimulus Card: What it entails, and who qualifies to receive it.
Health Stimulus Card
Under the CARES Act, the IRS has distributed more than 140 million Health Stimulus Cards. The funds loaded onto your Health Stimulus prepaid debit card, received from the government by mail, belong to you as per the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
So far, the federal government has utilized direct deposit, Direct Express cards, or paper checks to distribute payments. If you have not received your economic impact payment yet, you may receive one of these cards by mail.
EIP cards, also known as Economic Impact Payment cards, are another term for Health Stimulus cards. To learn more about the Health Stimulus Card provided by the US government, we encourage you to read this post.
What is the Health Stimulus Plan?
Especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Stimulus Plan 2023 serves as a critical support for many individuals facing economic hardship. This financial relief program aims to enhance people’s health by providing cash assistance to eligible recipients.
If an individual qualified for a health stimulus plan but couldn’t receive direct deposit, the government issued them Health Stimulus Cards. These Economic Impact Cards arrive in plain envelopes from “Money Network Cardholder Services,” containing essential card details, activation instructions, fees, and a note from the U.S. Treasury.

Who is Eligible to get it?
The IRS required your bank account details. Consequently, you received an EIP Card even if you are eligible for an Economic Impact Payment. Your Economic Impact Payment is conveniently accessible through the EIP Card.
The Stimulus card requires meeting specific qualifying criteria established by the government. Below are some of the requirements:
- Individuals who qualify typically need to provide documentation demonstrating they filed a tax return the previous year.
- To be eligible for Health Stimulus efforts, candidates may need to be employed, partially employed, or jobless as a result of the epidemic.
- AGI, which stands for Adequate Gross Income, serves as the standard criterion for program eligibility. Applicants are required to confirm their income from the preceding tax year to qualify.
- Family members listed on the tax filing, such as children and elderly dependents, may also meet the eligibility criteria.
- Health Stimulus Cards are typically accessible only to citizens or legal residents of the country.
Receiving other government benefits, such as unemployment aid, does not automatically disqualify someone from receiving a health stimulus check.
How to Activate Health Stimulus Card
Before accessing your Economic Impact Payment, you must activate your card either by phone or online. Only one card will be issued per family, and the primary cardholder is responsible for activation.
If you are the primary holder of the credit card:
- Dial 1-800-240-8100 (or 1-800-241-9100 for TTY).
- Please verify your identity by providing your name, address, and social security number.
- To withdraw cash from the ATM, set up a 4-digit PIN. If you forget your current PIN, please contact customer support to obtain a new one.
- Check your balance to determine the amount you received.
Once activated, your card can be used immediately. Your funds do not expire, and there are no monthly or inactivity fees. You are not required to repay this money or pay taxes on it.
Cashing Out Through Health Stimulus Card
There are multiple fee-free methods for withdrawing cash from the card. You can utilize any ATMs affiliated with the In-Network All Point brands to make withdrawals.
You can choose either the Money Network Mobile App or use the ATM locator at EIPCard.com for your area. There may be restrictions on the amount of cash you can withdraw, and you will not be able to exceed these limits.
